Tour de Batam: design for a UCI Gran Fondo
Social templates, roadside signs and start/finish stands for Tour de Batam’s 2023 UCI Gran Fondo World Series edition, in collaboration with MetaSport.
For Tour de Batam’s 2023 UCI Gran Fondo World Series edition, I worked with MetaSport on a set of event touchpoints made to carry one visual identity from online announcements to race day.
My work covered social media templates, roadside signs, event stands, and the start and finish stands. The goal was practical consistency: clear event information on a phone, legible graphics along the course, and a recognizable arrival and finish-line presence.
One system, many distances
The event brought together a time trial and several Gran Fondo rides. Social templates helped communicate dates and race formats, while roadside and venue graphics carried the same identity into the physical event.
Built for the course and the finish
At an endurance event, people encounter the brand in motion and from a distance. Roadside signs needed to be quickly readable; start and finish stands had to make the key race-day moments feel unmistakably part of Tour de Batam.
This was a design collaboration with MetaSport for the 2023 edition. The event website now carries a cancellation notice for its 2024 event; this article documents the earlier project, not a current event announcement.
