The logo file pack every brand should walk away with

If your designer only sent a PNG, you do not have a logo yet. Here is the handoff checklist.

The logo file pack every brand should walk away with

A logo project is finished when you can hand files to a printer, a developer, and a merch vendor without pinging the designer again. Use this pack as your acceptance checklist before you call it done.

Core vectors

  • Primary full-color mark (AI + SVG + PDF)
  • Horizontal and stacked lockups if both are used
  • Symbol / icon alone (when you have one)
  • Wordmark alone (when you have one)

Production variants

  • Single-color / mono black
  • Mono white / reverse
  • Limited-color versions if your brand uses them
  • Safe-area or clear-space diagram

Raster exports (for the people who will ask)

  • PNG with transparent background at usable sizes
  • Favicon / app-icon crop if relevant
  • Social avatar crop if relevant

Rules worth one page

You do not need a novel. One page covering minimum size, clear space, do-nots (stretching, recoloring, drop shadows), and which lockup to use where is enough for most early-stage teams.

Naming that saves your future self

Ask for a clean folder: BrandName / Logo / Primary, Lockups, Mono, Exports. File names like BrandName_Logo_Primary_Color.svg beat Final-v7-USE-THIS.ai. If your pack matches this list, you can launch without panic.
