Gwara Branding
Brand identity and digital direction for Gwara, built around an angular custom wordmark, a compact W symbol, and an athletic visual language.
Construct a custom wordmark from sharp, connected geometry; extract a compact symbol for small applications; then extend the system through product imagery, color, motion, and website layouts.
A flexible identity with one recognizable geometry across full-width digital layouts, apparel marks, campaign imagery, and compact mobile touchpoints.
Gwara
Sportswear identity and digital
A wordmark built from forward motion
Gwara needed more than a logo placed over sports photography. The identity had to create its own posture: fast, disciplined, and recognisable before a viewer reads the name.
The custom lettering uses wide horizontal forms, sharp cuts, and connected diagonals to make the wordmark feel engineered rather than typeset. Those same decisions produce the standalone W symbol, giving small apparel, navigation, and social placements a clear signature.
One geometry, two scales
The full wordmark carries brand recognition in campaign and website headers. The reduced W keeps the same angled construction when space disappears.
A restrained palette of near-black, deep olive, and muted sage gives the identity enough contrast for technical apparel while staying grounded in outdoor and training environments.
Designed to carry into product and web
Large photography gives the system physical presence; compact interface elements keep product information direct. The website direction uses the identity as structure, not decoration, so typography, image crops, and calls to action all reinforce the same performance-focused voice.
Motion adds pace between these states without changing the underlying system. The result works as one brand across launch films, editorial frames, apparel, and commerce.
